During that last nintendo direct, i never once expected a new mario golf game to get announced. I mean, i was kind of being serious about where i said.
I hope nintendo will unveil a new mario golf game that day. But like i said i never expected this to happen and now that it actually did.
I'm extremely hyped for the game and today i'm here to talk about why you should give the game a chance and why i think it will be the best Mario golf game to date.
Mario Golf Super Rush seems to like it will take some inspiration from its predecessor mario golf world tour. Which actually isn't too bad of a thing. I think it's pretty underrated as a 3ds game and it wasn't really head over the heels with the gameplay.
I remember having tons of content such as a lot of courses and characters to choose from a mini side story mode, customizable golf attire for your me's and much more.
I feel like super rush will do this. Obviously taking to the next level as a matter of fact. I think the game will also combine elements from previous series such as mario golf on the n64 toadstool tour and the gamecube and advanced tour on the gameboy advance a bit more on them. Later anyway to start things off let's talk about a little bit of the gameplay now.
The gameplay here reminds me a bit of wii sports with that power gauge. Especially with the fact that you can also use motion controls.

But don't worry what's great here is that nintendo made this optional. Button controls are of course an option too now. When it comes to swing the curve of this bar is a bit confusing at first.
I think i finally get it. It seems like it'll be similar to how mario golf 64 was like you had a trajectory indicator that was like straight from the start and then it would skew whenever you're on a slope.
Which is what seems to be taking place here in that power gauge. Why it's curved in some parts of the gameplay shown.
The red triangles are still a bit of a mystery to me. I think it will also skew based on your character's natural draw or fade. You know the little trajectory in the beginning where it goes left or right.
Hopefully we'll see actual gameplay in the future so we can understand this feature more another thing that i noticed is after you swing of course in many mario golf games.
The camera shifts to when the ball's in the air. But what's
different here is, there's actually a little like swing map indicating like
your swing trajectory.
So what's in orange or yellow, is basically like the ball on the air and when it starts like bouncing in the floor it turns blue. I personally think this is a really cool feature.
Because as someone that played a lot of mario golf tows on tour, sometimes you don't get why your ball landed a specific way. I mean sure you factor things such as air or wind resistance a lot.
But now it's really easy to understand why your ball didn't go as close as a parabola as you thought. It would be and i just love that you can understand why your ball stops like in momentum.
It's a really cool feature. It's something that was missing in the previous games. It's probably going to be really helpful and you can again work with a lot more numbers in this game.
Because you know golf to me is a lot more math and physics. I absolutely love that fact. What's also new that i caught is this new scan feature now. You can actually use this to see the course terrain a lot easier.

Again something that was missing in the previous games to compare mario golf toadstool tour again. I just felt like in that game it was a bit difficult seeing the exact slopes.
It's really nice to be able to see the grid way better. Which gives you a better understanding of like what's ahead. Honestly what's interesting to me the most is this little lock aim thing.
Where it seems like it'll be also a lot easier for you to approach, even heck chip your ball in. I don't know how easy this will be. But i just hope it won't be too broken.
I just don't want to make it in every time. But lock aim seems to be very helpful. Especially for new players okay. So now moving on to that UI. It is freaking clean first of all the game.
Finally has a mini map on the side which desperately was needed since like the beginning of time. But what's an incredible upgrade is when you open the map a lot bigger.
There's this radius thing. It's pretty much easy to make judgment as to where the ball may land in pretty much any direction. You choose to swing and there's also these little lines here.
Which probably indicate slopes or hazards that may cause the ball to push forward or backwards or something. Overall, it looks pretty complex. To be honest, i'm just really happy they included.
It makes our lives a little easier when it comes to you know adjusting and seeing like the mathematics behind the swinging.
Another thing that we should talk about here are the clubs now. The club seems to be like a mixed bag of them. I think you'll be able to choose your own given to the fact that you only have like what two selections of wood here.
Unlike for example toadstool tour when you had like a fixated amount where you know depending where your life was.
You didn't really need a one wood or three wood when you're like approaching. But it's nice to have like a fixated amount of clubs and it makes golfing look more realistic like.
You take your bag and you pick and choose like your favorite clubs and stuff now. I know for a fact that nes open, actually allowed you to pick and choose your club.

Hopefully we can do the same thing here now. Picking and choosing may seem like a hassle. But like i said the realism would be freaking cool to include in this type of game.
I mean like every course is different. Every course has different yardage. It's really nice to see you know what can you choose for your top five or six clubs to bring with you.
You know what kind of wedges what kind of approaching tools
stuff like that what would be beneficial for each course you play on.
I think it's just a great feature including. It adds to technicality when it comes to mario golf okay.
So enough of the technical stuff, what about the characters.
First of all, they all have their own attire matching their personalities and color schemes. We did see mario, luigi, peach, daisy, wario, waluigi, yoshi, dk and bowser.
What's interesting is that i saw on twitter that nintendo accidentally revealed king baba as a playable character on their website. It was quickly taken down shortly after.
It's rather interesting to see that new characters such as baba will be here and it makes me hope that we'll probably have a wide variety of characters to choose from from this game.
I just hope we can see like returning faces such as like nabbit. He was such a really cool feature in mario golf world tour and also rosalina.
In addition the choruses in this game freaking slap. So far dude like we have this little greenery course that's you know very reminiscent of toad highlands or like the first course in toadstool tour that i'm freaking like blanking on.
But like this one seems to be a little bit more of an inspiration in like regards like.

It's an english pasture theme, there's also this like desert oasis course which looks freaking phenomenal on the switch. This forest like course that reminds me a lot of the wooded kingdom for some reason.
But overall the presentation here is looking freaking sweet with seeing individual leaves clovers and the bunker sand looking realistic and like raked.
It's so cool, i can just honestly definitely tell that the developers camelot took advantage of the switch's hardware in this game. It reminds me a lot of how they made mario tennis aces.
Looking at this game for hours, will really not be an issue
at all. It will always be aesthetically pleasing and it reminds me a lot of
espn man like with the ui and with the realism here.
But overall we can definitely expect a lot of characters and courses.
I don't see why nintendo wouldn't include a lot of them.
I'm sure they would want this game to freaking sell a lot all right. Lastly we're going to talk a little bit about the modes. They didn't really talk too much about them.
The most important one that was discussed is freaking multiplayer speed golf dude now. This is something the series truly needed to make mario golf a lot more chaotic, engaging and fun.
I mean you can race your friends to your lie be the first to put the ball in while. Also factoring your score that's freaking hype dude in addition.
I just think that the chaos will really be when you use those items you know to make you get to the ball faster such as that ice flower that luigi was using or heck, even using those items to knock your opponents away such as like, i'm guessing yoshi riding a yoshi egg. You could probably trample over like dk or something.
It's really nice to see these things and it will be implemented most likely in couch play as well as online. I mean it's just so cool like the attention to detail.

Peach being a ballerina to make her go faster, mario dashing hella fast when he's using that star which is a strong indication that if you're in last place.
You'll get really cool items such as the star. Like i said i think this is something that mario golf had needed for many years. Because one of the problems that i had in previous titles is that it isn't as engaging.
You have to wait for your turn like all the freaking time. I'm glad that everyone here is able to basically play at the same time and also try to basically mess up each other up.
This is a really cool mode that i'm looking forward to the most and the other mode that they talked about was story mode.
You freaking are a rookie developing your golf skills which is very similar to the game gameboy games, which i absolutely adore especially advanced tour.
We get actual experience points with returning attributes like power. Which is like how far you hit control, which is you know how straight the ball will be and spin which is very interesting. I don't think we can use like top spins or back spins like in mario golf toadstool tour.
I think this will be in terms of like your draw or fade trajectories which gives it more potential of becoming a powerful stat in this game. I'm just really excited to test out these type of attributes.
There's also new ones such as stamina and speed which will help probably for the speed golf portion of the game tremendously which comes to me to believe that.
I think characters aren't so one-sided anymore. Even though bowser may be one of the strongest in the game. He's probably one of the slowest runners.
There's a lot of things to factor in when choosing your
character now.
I think it will actually help and maybe this game will be a little bit more competitive than the previous ones.
So to conclude i really think Mario Golf Super Rush will be the best mario golf game ever. I'm freaking hyped for this game.
It's been years since we saw mario golf in a home console toadstool tour came out in 2003, advanced tour in 2002 with the last really cool story mode.
I also personally think it'll be like mario golf world tour in regards of like expanded content such as a wide selection of characters and implementing tons of new courses.
Hopefully retro courses to play on. I'm just hoping that it'll include other modes too like tournament mode club slots birdie challenge near pin challenge front and back tees heck even maybe more.
I think i could say very optimistic about those. Because i think our voice over lady did mention a wide variety of modes.
Thank you so much for reading this article till the end your guys and support mean the world to me and i'll see you guys next time peace out my duders.
