So many people kept asking me would Is this game worth buying again?
Do you regret buying it again on the switch?
Should I go out and buy this game again?
Obviously I just went out and bought this game again again alright.
So clearly I love this game and maybe I have a little bit of a collecting issue that I want to get all of the versions of the game that comes out. But does that mean you should go out and buy it again?
Especially if you've already played it before or if you have it on the Wii U's ? Well in this article, I'm gonna be talking about Bayonetta 2. Obviously how I feel about the game why I love it so much and why I would recommend buying it again.
But clearly that wasn't going to be enough to settle my Bayonetta urges. I just had to go out and buy a physical. So for me the answer going into this is going to be very obviously a yes, it's worth picking up and buying again.
So let's talk about the advantages the two biggest and clearest advantages for playing this game again or for the first time on the switch as opposed to the Wii U is. In my opinion, this game looks amazing on the switch know if you take the comparisons of the two games that put them side-by-side running through.

The same thing streaming on the same thing. The differences on as noticeable the biggest things you might see right away or the shadows look a lot darker and richer. The colors are just brighter in general. I think it looks a lot cleaner and clearer around the edges.
But another big thing is TVs have come a long way in the
last three or four years 4k TVs have gotten cheap and actually affordable.
You can buy smallish 4k TVs for a few hundred. So my point is playing this game on the Wii U three or four years ago on the TV.
I had and playing it now on the switch, the difference is a night and day it looks incredible.
I'm seeing details in this game that I never saw before. I never even realized that were there one of the craziest parts of the game is right at the start when you're standing and riding of moving jet fighting.
A bunch of angels and demons on the jet while it blasts around the city. When I first played this on the Wii U, I was so engrossed in the action. It was awesome and I loved it. But I never really noticed everything else playing it now.
It's so much clearer and brighter that I actually took notice of the fact that the game looks amazing. I was more engrossed in watching everything move around me, then I was actually concentrating on kicking ass.
So that had me wondering is it just the TV that's making it look better or does it actually look better. So hooking up my Wii U to the same TV. I still gotta say the shadows and the lighting is what really pops here and makes this game look a lot better.

So that's the way it looks it's not a huge leap. It's definitely nicer, but is that worth in itself going out and rebind the game you've already played.
So here are some other things that make this game worth picking up again if you really want to go out and play baby that a to again the good news is it runs at 60 frames just like it did on the Wii U.
So it runs exactly the same but the loading screens are so
much quicker.
Which makes the whole game feel so much smoother. We're literally talking about half the loading screen time in most places and when you are moving around this game so quickly in chapters 2.
Chapters 2 entering the challenge areas or going through the gates of Hell to buy things.
You do see a lot of loading screens and having them halved really keeps the action flowing and finally the obvious one is playing at portable that one really doesn't have to be set at this point.
But it still blows my mind that these games. I was playing last generation like ps3, Xbox 360, or the Wii U, look a little bit nicer now.
I don't need to play them on a console. I can play them on something that's that thin and it's playing the ports of these games that come to the switch that really make me realize how crazy that is.
A huge disadvantage and believe me, I was the first person to say it I kind of didn't like the fact that it was full price $60. I know it comes with Bayonetta 1 as a download too.
But it's a rerelease for a game. I like paying full price for a game that's a rerelease in any context even if you have that first game in it.
We you version had both of them in it and that was full price and you actually got both discs. So getting one digital in the same pack all these years later my first thought.

Why is it full priced? Nintendo you couldn't have made it $10 cheaper if you take these two games separately on the eShop.
You're looking at 50 for Bayonetta 2 and 30 for the first one. So that's 80 plus tax. You are saving money buying it digitally in this double pack. But still why 60 and then I really got to thinking the way. You didn't sell that well.
We already talked about it before the switch has already sold more than the way you did. Which means the game sales had to be poor. I don't know how many copies at this game they sold or how many copies of a lot of their games they sold.
But a lot of love went into this Nintendo is the reason we got this game the first Bayonetta was made by Platinum Games and published by Sega. It was amazing everyone.
I loved that game, all my friends loved that game. There was so much hype around it for me. It was like playing Devil May Cry.
But a new version of it and it was great. But we never saw a
sequel. It wasn't going to happen.
Nintendo were the ones that came along plucked Bayonetta out of obscurity and decided they would make it and make it exclusive for the Wii U.
The only reason we have this game is because of a Nintendo. So if Nintendo want to come along all these years later when they finally have a successful system and put this game that they saved. Put it on the switch and actually make the money that it deserved to make the first time ok.
I get it, so many people haven't played this game. In fact I'm sure a lot of people haven't even heard of this game.
Even statistically speaking with the switch sales now and then we use total sales. I'm sure most people that even have a switch didn't even hear about Bayonetta 2 let alone have played it.

So I get the price tag. But then that does lead you wondering is it worth buying again for full price that really comes down too? If you feel like playing it again, if you're ready to play Bayonetta 2 again?
If you're craving it, if you miss it. It's amazing on the switch it looks a little better it runs a little smoother.
A little quicker boy with Bayonetta 2 and Bayonetta 1 are
some of my favorite games of all time.
So for me it was obvious I was gonna pick it up for the 4th 5th 6th time and obviously completely depends have you played it before.
No you have your answer. It was I love the game and I'm more than happy to have it portable. So I can play it on the go whenever I want. Whenever I can and for anyone watching that maybe hasn't played it or you can't tell just by the gameplay.
You've been seeing throughout this article. If you've never played a hack-and-slash or you've played games like Devil May Cry or near automata. This game is very much like that.
It's a very self-aware game that doesn't take itself seriously at all. It makes fun of itself in the best way. It's crazy, it's high action, it has cutscenes.
Where Bayonetta is half naked, because her hair is her suit and her hair is also the way she attacks. So when she does a really big attack, her hair needs to leave her body to form the move to form the attack.
So she's naked for a brief second. It's moments like that
throughout the entire game.
It's definitely a mature game if you're reading this right now and you want to buy this for your kid.
It has a lot of f-words, it has a lot of sexual themes that was kind of the awesome thing about it on the Wii U.
Because though we felt like such a departure from hardcore gaming.
We didn't have many hardcore games it was a little shovelware or Mario games or Zelda games and for a lot of it.
It was great, but we didn't have these hardcore mature games and tendler's never really been great at that until now, until the Wii U changed the way they looked at gaming and changed the way they looked at how they wanted to do things.
So if you have a young kid, maybe don't go buy it for them or play it yourself first and see. But I love it as an adult, I adore it, I love the charm of this game. It reminds me so much again of Devil May Cry.

It's definitely inspired by and made in the same vein of and it's all super fast paced with so many combinations, so many moves you can pull off.
Unless you played this game religiously and get really great at it and play it through a bunch of times. You wouldn't even remember half of the combinations everyone that plays this has their own way of playing their own combinations.
They remember the ones, they think a call there are. So many while you're fighting the enemies you build up a bar that lets you unleash a special move or a torture attack. I'll say I love the story of the first one more than a second one.
I always told myself, I just preferred the first game in general more. But playing the second one this time on the switch. I don't know how I ever thought that I still preferred the first story.
I loved the characters, but the gameplay just took it up
another level almost every fight feels like an insane boss fight.
Every level has you just doing the most insane things. It's just so incredibly exhilarating to play.
They did an amazing job at making a second Bayonetta a taking that franchise and continuing it planning games have done.
Some really amazing things and I'm so excited for the third Bayonetta and to see what's in store. I'm ready to have my mind blowing.
But guys what do you think? Have you played this before? Do you think it's worth going out and spending that $60 to play it again on the switch? I'd actually be interested to know who hasn't played this game before.
